The Jllintly storekeeper, James McKee, was sentenced to a month's imprisonment for failure to keep books and accounts for bis stationery business at Ellerslie. Defendant is an undischarged bankrupt, and for contracting debts while in that state, lie was convicted and discharged. Two further charges, 'I) of disposing of property otherwise than in tbe ordinary way of irade, the property having been obtained on credit and not paid for, and (2) of obtaining credit to tbe amount of Csl 3s 5d w ithout disclosing the fact that be was an undischarged bankrupt. were withdrawn. At the Police Court, Mr Hunt, S.M., held that George Alfred Curtis (whoso case was telegraphed on Friday) bad published a double chart, and accused was lined £ls.
