A combined meeting of the M estliind Chamber of Commerce and I'mgress League will meet at the Comity Cliainbei.s el 7.30 o'clock to-night. Koown, sour., relict of the late- Robert Koown. Deceased was a native of London, England, and leaves a family of five, all of whom are grown-up, and several grand-children. Deceased was in her 88th. year.

The District Health Officer has informed the ICumara Borough Council that in view of its failure to contribute to the salary of the Health Inspector, it is proposed to require the Council to have the work of disinfection and control of sanitation carried out by olio of the borough ollleeia.
