South Australia began in dull weather and a good wicket. South Australia won the toss and batted, and have lost 1 for 101. (Harris not out 78, Morinv not out 82). Both batsmen shaped confidently, batting attractively and taking command of tbo bowling. although several chances were given bv both. ADELAIDE. Nov. ]. In the Sheffield match against Victoria South Australia in tbo first innings scored 3 for 203 (Harris 80, Murray 120, Richardson not out 20). A snleudid partnership by Harris and Murray added 205 for the first wicket which is a record in a match between those teams. M.C.C. TEAM. PERTH. Oct. 31. England commenced n match against a goldfields’ eleven at Kalgoorlie. England in the first innings have lost none for 38 (Suclilfe not out 17. Sandham not out 20).
