The following prisoners were sen ten ced al the Supreme Court: .Joseph Manning, tor theft of a case of shoes, valued at £7lOl, received eighteen months hard labour. A Maori half-caste hoy, 131 years of ago, who set fire to a house at Ra(wcuc was committed to the probation home. Another half-caste Maori, AA’illiam Lewis Gentry, for breaking, entering and theft at Xgaruawaliia, was sentenced to twelve months reformative treatment.
Hone Aktiirn, for breaking, entering and theft at Gisborne, twelve months hard lahour. Henry John Thnckwell, for breaking, and entering the Gisborne Railway Station with intent to couiiiiit a crime, received twelve mouths gaol.
