WATAROA STORE CATTLE SALE. Messrs >l, Houston and Co., report:
'l’Le annual Spring Sale was held at the AA’ntaroa Kaleyards yesterday, there being a very large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. The yarding of cattle from the far south was much smaller than usual, but some excellent lines were submitted, notably the very fine entry of 3 year old Hereford Steers and Heifers from Messrs Nolan Bros., of Okttru, which met
with spirited competition and sold really well. The exceptional prices recorded are due to the high prices realised for fat cattle this spring, and also on account of the entry being insufficient to meet tlio demand which was very keen towards the close of the sale. We sold as follows:—. On account of Nolan Bros., Okurit, 11 3-vr. bullocks at £9 2s (id, 11 at £9, 10 at £B, 8 at £7 17s Gd, 10 at £7 17s Gd, 1 fat cows at £B. 2 steers at £7 ss, 5 3-vr. heifers at C 8 12s Gd. 4 at £9 10s, G at £G, 0 at CM 17. s Gd. 7 at £G 15s.
