WKLLINGTON, October 17. The fortnightly sales for skins, hides and tallow were held to-day. There was a good attendance of buyers, and values advanced in some lines. For sheepskins, competition was extremely keen lor these throughout the sale, and a rise of Id per lb on last sale price took place. Dry skins were in good demand, and were if anything a little firmer. Hides showed a much better tone, and ally sound bides were fully Id per lb better than last sale. Calfskins were 1 linn tit late rales, 'fallow, if anything, was a little lirmer.
