HOKITIKA TENNIS CLUB
The annual meeting of the Hokitika Lawn Tennis Club was held in the County Council Chambers last evening at 7.30 o’clock. The President (Dr. Teichelmann) and 20 member’s were present. The report and balance sheet as read were adopted and the President in the course of his remarks referred to the present satisfactory financial condition of the Club considering that about £OO had been sprent during the year on ground and pavilion improvements. The election of officers resulted as follows: -President: Dr. Bairil; Aicc-Presi-dent: Air Irvine. Secretary : Air Morris; AssitantSccrctarv: Air Bock. General Committee —Drs. Teichelmann and Buchanan, Alcssrs AVcthey, Gooch, CL Aitken, Airs Brodie, Aliss Lewis, Aliss Aitken, Aliss Davidson, and Aliss Alayne. Grounds Committee—The President, Dr. Teichelmann, Air Gooch and the Secretaries. Ain toll Committee—Aliss Afoore, ATr Gooch and the Secretaries. The meeting recommended to the incoming Committee the desirability of arranging inter-club matches during the coming season, and also club comp.'ctitions among members. Opening day was fixed for Saturday 18th. Inst. Ton new members were eleeted, bringing the Club membership* to Go.
