The Engineers Registration Rill was read a second time pro forma, and referred to the .Statutes Revision Committee. The War Funds Amendment Hill was read a second time. Alter discussion the Aledieal Practitioners Amendment Rill " : 's read a second time, pro forma, and retened to the Statutes Revision Committee. The Sale of Food and Drugs Amendment Hill was put through its linal stages ami passed without amendment. ■jae Council adjourned at 3.20 p.m. til! 2.30 p.m. to-morrow.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. WELLINGTON, Sept. 10 In the House the following Hills were introduced and read a first time: The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment CMr Alonticth), the Gaming Amendment (Hon Air Hollaid), the Election of .Ministers (Hon Air | Lilian y the Sunday Fishing <.Afr AlcI Iviide), the Licensing Amendment (Mr Field), the ’Unemployed Workers (Air Fraser). At the evening sitting the Hon A. D. McLeod moved the second reading of the Land Rill, which, he explained, was primarily a consolidating hill. The measure had a friendly reception at the hands of members and the measure was read a seeoml time. Tlie House rose at 11.23 till 2.30.
