Marvlehone against Yorkshire in the first innings, scored 111] (McAuley taking 0 lor 30). and in the second 321 (Mearne .scoring 115 and Chapman 50, while Waddington took (! for 87). Yorkshire in the first innings made 251 (Sutcliffe making 108 and completing 2000 rims for the season) and in tile second 171 for 0 wickets. Holmes scored 7. and Robinson (not out) CO. LOXDOX. September 5. The South Africans did well to get live wickets for 103. Then Fender, Cnltliorpe and Oilligan, by dashing hitting, doubled the score in forty minutes. Ward brought oil' four excellent catches at the wickets. The South Africans lest three for I I. Then Taylor and Susskiud added 103 in 75 minutes. Susskiud scored 101 in 120 minutes, and only gave one chance. Hohhs. the opening bowler, took one wicket.
