NOTICES OF MOTION. ].—The Chairman to move:—“That the accounts for tho month of August 1924. as revised and recommended for payment by the Finance Committee. amounting to £ l>c passed for payment.” 2.—The Chairman to move:—“That the Council authorise the purchase of a motor ear for the use of the County Overseer.’’ ;j.—The Chairman to move:—“That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Focal Bodies’ lannis Act. 1913, the Westland County hereby resolves: That for tbe purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of yjltltt!) authorised to lie raised under Section 24 of the Act. aforesaid, for the purpose of rebuilding Kakapotabi bridge destroyed by tlood. the Mestland County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourtcentli of a pennv upon tbe rateable value of all rateable proporics comprised in tbe whole of tbe County; and that such special rate shall Ik- an annual rociirring rate during tbe currency of such I,.'an. and be payable yearly on tbe Ist day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being n period of live years, or until the loan is fully paid ofi” I.—The Chairman to move:—“That tbe Council authorise the purchase or hire of att oil-engine suitable for driving the stone-crushing plant.” A. I.—-The Chairman to move:—“That pursuant to tbe provisions of Section 21 of tbe Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913. the Council proceed by special order, ami decide to pay tbe annualrecurring interest and sinking fund on Kakapotabi Bridge loan, No 2. of Cl.ooo at ol per cent, (repayable at the rate of £209 annually) out of the general fund.”
