The striking' architectural majesty of the Indian Pavilion, which reproduces the artistic hcatilies ol the Ini Mahal at Agra and the Jama Masjid at Delhi, makes this Section of the Exhibition must conspicuous and attractive. and mi additional means of quickly luring visitors to this spot is the wonderful building near hy in which the Burmese exhibits me housed, which is of purely Burmese architecture and is decorated hy some ol the finest carving to la* seen. The three great periods of India’s history represented hy ihe old Hindu kingdoms. the Mogul supremacy, and the European dominion, are characterised it. the Indian Pavilion both by the architecture of the buildings and in the multitude of exhibits, wiiieli have been collected from all parts of the Indian Peninsula.
