AlcCrae (Wellington) won the heavyweight title by default from F. Green (Auckland). F. Griffiths (Otago) was too clever for R. Hayward, and easily retained the- bantam title. A. Hav (Ha-wkes Bay) had a hard contest with IV. Walden (Wellington), but won the welter title by his übiltiy to use a straight left. J. G. Leckio (Otago) defeated J. Garvey (West Coast) for the lightheavy weight championshop, after an c-vcn, hut rather uninteresting contest. Dicw (Otago), and I’. Black made things «tiling in the feather-weight bout hut the Otago man steadied his opponent with an upper-cut, and was stronger at the finish, winning well. I). I .ore ridge (Wellington) is tho new light-weight champion after an epic contest with I). Trowern (Auckland). The pair fought toe to toe the whole
L. O’Neill easily retained the .Mid-dle-weight title against F. Paget(Southland). The latter was outclassed.
