IRISH STEAMER.

LOST WITH ALL HANDS. AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. LONDON, July 13. The crew of nineteen of the Cork cattle steamer “Lismore” are all missing. The vessel was wrecked on the Wexford coast on Thursday, when on route to Liverpool. The first news of tho disaster was tho washing ashore of a body. It is supposed that the vessel ran on a sandbank in a fog, and turned turtle.

SURVIVOR’S RUDE RAFT. LONDON, July 14. There is a survivor from tho “Lismore” named Carey. He says a list to port was noticed on Friday, but nothing "could be done to right the ship. The captain ordered the lifeboats to he lowered. While this was being done, the Lismore overturned. Carey was sucked 'under. When ho came to the surface, he grasped tho ship’s hatch floating by. With empty wooden cases, lie constructed a rude raft in tho dark. He struggled in a rough sea for four hours, until dawn, when lie tied himself to The raft. He ate seaweed to appease his hunger. Thus he was washed ashore thirty miles from whence tHo Lismore foundered.

Most pathetic scenes are being witnessed at Cork Quay, where wives and children are awaiting for news of possible survivors.
