According to authoritative advice, the Brazilian revolutionists won fresh victories, Government forces being hadlv defeated. The situation at Son l’nulo is every moment getting worse. The rebels, after establishing a provisional government in Sao Paulo City are advancing upon Santos, which is a supply base for the Government troops. The latter are fighting an unsuccessful rear guard action. THE WOODEN SHIPS CASE. (Received this day at 9.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 14 A message from Seattle, Washington State, reports the Commonwealth Attorneys have received today fifteen thousand dollars from the trustee in the bankruptcy of the Paterson McDonald Shipbuilding Company, the litigants cancelling claims and counter-claims. This follows the Commonwealth acceptance of the settlement terms. The money is being forwarded to the office of the Australian Commissioner in New York.
