(Received this day at 10.‘Jo a.in.) NEW YORK. July 1. Tho Secretary’s voice continues to drone tho names of the States hour after hour. The balloting continued, ‘but the lines drawn during the first vote remained. MeAcloo gained thirteen ami Smith gained 38 votes at the end of tho Oth. ballot. The Convention has been in session eight, hours, and now went into recess until the evening. The Democratic Presidential nominee will not actually lie chosen upon tlio Convention Hour, lint by a secret coiiferonco of a choice few. The leaders ■will make their designation after everyone tires of tho endless balloting.
