Marks, is continued in the current June issue of the Journal of Agriculture, the special subject this month being methods of applying water and preparation of the land. The article is fully illustrated with sketches and photographs. Bush sickness is further dealt with by B. G. Aston, the rocks ancl soils of the affected district being discussed in their bearing on the problem. Ihe remarkable development of dairy herd-testing associations in the past season is picsented by AV. M. Singleton, the complete Dominion figures being published for the first time, together with other data relating to the history of the movement in New Zealand. A recoul of the operations uf the Official seedtesting station, at AA’clliugton, in 1923-21. is contributed by N. R. Foy, who blends statistical matter with interesting comment. The present is the first complete annual record of the work of the station to he published. The results of the testing of a further series of samples of New Zealand grown w heats is reported by L. D.
