I.ocal enthusiasts who have tho matter in hand anticipate no difficulty in raisins; the necessary money and it is expected that a number of Australian oarsmen will compete as well as several Xew Zealanders, it is proposed to hold the event oil the Raiwlmike championship course, on which all hi; scullin'; races are decided, and to cut tho prize money up into four or five prizes; also to nut on a consolation race of LTS. so that those who fail to get into the big money will have another chance of paying their expenses. It is probable that arrangements will be made to hold an amateur regatta here at the same time, and thus make a great aquatic comical which should prove a big attraction for rowing enthusiasts.
