CRICKET SOFABIILL. LONDON. June 22. The "Daily Chronicle’s" cricket writer, commenting on Parkin’s action, says: "It is probably the keenness of the race between Parkin and Tale to take one hundred wickets that accentuated Parkin’s sense ol injustice. His action action makes it impossible •nr the Selection Committee to illolud.' him. as they have instructed everyone taking part in the test match to make ttu comments. 1 had :t chat with Parkin. who says that it is necessary to make a stand against mistaken captaincy.” Amongst numerous comments on Parkin’s action, Hobbs said: ” I here is going to he it storm, which will not do the game tttw good. I atn not going to be caught out in it-”
11. Gillingham declares that Parkin has found a novel way ol committing suicide as a professional cricketer. Douglas said he considered Parkin's articles always amusing. This one was in a particularly humorous vein.
