There is still no definite news Jrom Bucharest regarding the explosion cnsii.iilies. hut there are indications ! that tin* explosion effects are even more sei'ioii- than indicated yesterday. Iho latest messages state the telephones were dislocated owing to the collapse 1 of tlie ceiling in the (Oiitral exchange. The arsenal was situated at Catro-(-ciii. in the outskirts of the city, nearby King Ferdinand'* summer palace. It originally consisted of only a small magazine, hut it had grown with the army, until it had become, since tho Armistice, one of Roiiinnnia’s most important arsenals. The palace in the days of King Oiiol. was not u-ed hy Sovereigns, hut only by the frown Prince and Princess, iho present Monarchs. At the tim*. of the explosion, tho Royal l*allli!v. except Queen Marie, wore in re.sit'eiKO. and were entertaining tho ex-King and Queen (ff Greece. All wore compelled to evacuate to tho town palace. The Catroceni Palaro walls are scarred and pierced by projectiles. as though by a fierce bombardment. The shops and offices wore closed when the explosion of heavy shells began. People fled to the cellars. or the open country. The explosion area is still dangerous. and was unapproachable at the time of the latest. dispatches. The ‘ Daily Express" says Queen Marie has received no news from King Ferdinand-
