Mr Stevenson, for accused, asked that Mrs Wliall .should be called. Mr Mar-assey replied that she know nothing of tlie case against Barnes, and was hostile. She had watched her husband bleed to death, and then slio went into the kitchen and threw her arms around Barnes’ peck. The [Magistrate ruled that Mrs Whall’s evidence was irrelevant, hut counsel could have her bound over to appear at the Supreme Court trial, if lie desired. Tlio hearing was adjourned.
