[ltntTKaa Telegrams.] TURKISH STRIKE, (Received this tiny at T2 noon). LONDON, May 23. The "Daily Express” Salonika correspondent states serious rioting is taking place, owing to the tobacco lockout, as the result of a cut in the wages of tobacco carers. The latter resorted to sahotalie, necessitating the warehouses being guarded by militaiy. "When tbe Xew York Thracian Company engaged five free labourers, a
crowd armed with stones arrived. The guards first used the lints of their rifles, and then two were knifed, and orders were given fo fire. Twelve rioters wore killed. Tli tobacco warehouses are now guarded hy inaeliine guns.
Sympathetic strikes among railwaymen, dockers and transporters are fear.
