SACRED BAND CONCERT
It, will be noticed that the Hokitika Municipal Band are entering up.in a new departure by way ot sacred conceits. The first of these will la* given at the Prinee-s Theatre on Sunday night next, after tin* Church services, approximately at o'clock. Ihe programme to In* submitted is a very fine one and considerable work has heeu put into practice-, special as well as ordinary. It is recognised that there is nothing to approach a well-balanced brass hand in the rendering of hymns, anil the programme on Sunday night include- such I.: until ill hymns as “Lead Kindly Light, “Abide With .Me.” etc.. besides anthem- and -niTed solos with hand .■ii-i-iniipauimeiit.
