The lending male par! is admirably enacted bv Hugh Buckler, who endeared himself In Australasian audiences with a repertoire of very successful pltiy.s a lew years ago. Mr Buckler is at ( resent playing the leading part of the most eolo-sa! production of the year at the Drury tme Theatre in London. For sheer magnificence this (lieie is said to outdo ; bo:'. l ' Aselie. and the acting is described as superb. .Mr Buckler's work in "I be place of Honour” is certainly e. line example ul his prowess ■ which ii-m-i*-largely to make tho picture a success.
