BELL—A Xl» KB SON. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mary's Presbytery. Hokitika, on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Miss Ada Anderson, second daughter of Mrs T. Howard. Hokitika, and Mr Jack Bell.* Coalgate. Canterbury. The Bov. Dr. Kennedy officiated. The bride who was given away by her sloplather. was attired in while brocaded satin, "ith side panels of silver lace and pearls. She wore the usual wreath ami veil arranged in Egyptian t.tylo, with posies of orange blossoms at the sides shoes and stockings to match. Her shower bouquet of while chrysanthemum and maidenhair fern completed a very pretty toilette. The bride was attended by her stepsister. Miss Ethel Howard, as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of white silk, trimmed with silver and pearls, and a wreath of silver leaves around the head. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Ihe duties of best man were carried out by Mr B. Sweetman. of Creymoutli. After the wedding ceremony a number of guests were entertained at the residence of the bride’s mother, where the usual toasts were duly honored. During the afternon the newly-married couple left, amid showers of rice and confetti. by car for Nelson, where the honeymoon is being spent. Muriel and Eunice \\ ilIjanis. wore pretty frocks of coral pink erepe de chene; a hand of silver ribbon round their heads, caught at either side with rosebuds. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Stanley Bugg as best man.
