Licenses to shoot native aiiu imported game from May Ist. to July 31st, are now available.with the Postmaster at a fee of 10s. The only native game which may he taken are greyduck and black swan, but any imported game may be taken.
Quito a painful shock was caused amongst the many; friends of Air E. H. Burley, a highly respected resident of Rotokoliu, when news was received that he had passed away at his residence at one o’clock on Sunday, morning. The late Mr Burley (says the “ liiangahua Times”) was a. farmer and had resided at Rotokoliu for n number of years, where he lias assisted in many objects for the benefit ot the whole district. Deceased, who was only 40 years of age, had been ill a short lime and had received medical
attention and every (are from those nearest and dearest to him. Death was unexpected, the immediate cause being interna! hemorrhage. A widn* and family of three daughters are Seft to mourn their loss.
