By 11 o’clock this morning, 500 out of COO, employed at Hillside (casual and permanent), had returned to work. As it was pay- day, the men are much puzzled that no reduction was made this pay for superannuation. A full railway service, two expresses to Christchurch, and two to Invercargill, will resume to-morrow. The service 'north today was extended only to Oaniaru. A wood service will he easily- re-estab-lished. There is no serious accumulation in Dunedin sheds.
