RACING.
KUMARA RACES. The Kumnra Racing Club held its annual meeting on the Kuniara racecourse yesterday in glorious weather, and before a large attendance. Tlie totalisator handled £7,305 for the day, against £8,892 for tho corresponding day last year when this meeting was held at Omoto. Rosewame, (the rider of Rapid Rose in the Dillmans’ Handicap), was fined £lO and severely cautioned for alleged interference with Demonstrate and- AIL Ready. Junction Handicap—Bestir 1, Rapid Fire 2, Elixir 3. Balefire, Tantalus, and Gash man also started. Won by a length. Balefire came third, hut was not allowed the stake money owing to his rider (McCarthy) dismounting through one of his stirrup leathers breaking. McCarthy, rider of Balefire, was cautioned by the stipendiary steward for dismounting on the track, before returning to tbc scales. Time 1.10.
Flying Handicap—Bonny Mac 1, Kikini 2, Flying Master 3. Weary Willie, Samarang, Paphian, Tip Up, and Emerald Gem also started. Won by a neck, third half a length away. Time 1.11 4-5.
Kumnra Handicap.--Warlike 1, First Aid 2, Wharfcdnle 3. Also started— Kuia and Better Luck. Won by two lengths. Time 2. 13 4-5. Borough Trot—Mahon’s Day 1, Trezzn 2, Lady’s Mill 3. 17 started. Won by half a length. Time 2.27 1-5. Dillmans’ Handicap.—Rapid Rose 1, Demonstrate 2, All Ready 3. Lord Ashlea also started. Won by a length. Time 1.19.
Otira Handicap. —Micro 1, Kikini 2, Flying Master 3. Also started— Bestir, Prosperity, Emerald Gem, Bonnie Mae, North Inch, Rapid Fire, Tantalus. Won by half a length. Time 1.17 2-5.
Otira Handicap Trot.—Trczza I, Mahon's Day 2, Master Softon 3. II started.. Won easily. Time 8.50. Wes tbi look I tamlieap. —De monstrn te 1, All Ready 2, Missland 3. Seven started. Won by a length, third a head away. Time 1.33.
