Wilson (Speybank), Humphreys a very pleasant time was spent in honour of the occasion of the marriage of All- Ernest Ireland to Aliss Jessie Downic, Fifesliire, Scotland. Quito a number of friends gathered together to g,ive them a pleasant surprise. During the evening songs were rendered by Afrs Bannister, Airs Ireland and Alisses P. Olson, andT. Bates, Messrs Harris and AY. Harc-ourt. Recitations were also given by Air Ireland and Air AlcGuigun which were highly appreciated. Air AlcGuigan in a few well-spoken words proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom; jvlien all charged their glasses and drank to their health, wealth and happiness. Air Ireland then suitably responded. The singing of “For They are Jolly Good Fellows” and “Auld Lang Syne” brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
