Ha* Wellington section of the Post ami Telegraph Association, at its animal meeting last night, passed the following resolution: “That this meeting urge the executive to explore every avenue along which they may pimecil to secure an amicable settlement lieJbre embarking on a strike ballot." It was stated to the meeting that the New Zealand Executive desired an expression ol opinion on the mutter.

P. AND T. DISPUTE. WELLINGTON, April IC. Members of Parliament for Wellington waited upon the Postmaster-Gene ral to-dav, in regard to tho request of the executive of tho P. and T. Association that the executive should see the new I’, and T. Departmental Reclassification schedule now before Cabinet. Sir J. Luke. Messrs I’. Fraser, U. A. Wright. N. R. MeKcon and A. L. Monteitli stated that they bad met tlie members of the Executive of the P. and T. Association on the previous day with reference to the matter and the speakers now urged that the schedule be submitted to members cf the association as early as possible. The Minister, in reply, pointed out that the .schedule had been referred to the Public Service Commissioner and other beads of Departments, for consideration. and comment, and up to the present moment had not been returned. Whether they would reach Cabinet again that day be could not say. but as soon as they were returned to Cabinet they would bo made available to tlu> representatives of tho Association as promised.
