The South Canterbury Jockey Club in view of the arrangements for a tote meeting for the Christchurch Trotting Clubs, on the occasion of the naval squadron visit, has decided to ask for nil alteration of its dates to May Ist. and 2, and has asked the Minister of Internal Affairs to divert the fleet excursion trains for May 2nd. to Timaru.
