On Saturday, the British touring squadron, anchored at Jervis Bay, where the ships will polish up prior to coming to Sydney. Many visitors from tho district and towns made a holiday and accorded a great welcome to the ships. HONOLULU MARIJ. SYDNEY, April 5. The latest reports state that one of the tugs sent from Sydney has succeeded in getting a line aboard the Honolulu Mnru and is now towing the steamer to Jervois Bay. SYDNEY, April G. To-day (Sunday) a second tug made last to the Honolulu Marti, which is now being lowed to Sydney instead of making Jervois Bay. The warship “Dragon” has ended her vigil and has joined the squadron. LATER. A later report states that the Honolulu Marti has been towed into Jervois Bay. 11.-M S. DAUNTLESS. SYDNK, April G. The Warship Dauntless reached Syd ney for docking purposes. According to an officer of the Dauntless, when she received an s.o.s. from the Honolulu Alarit, she rushed to the rescue at the rate of over tweiity-two knots through a raging sea. The warship was awash continuously, even tho ‘ bridge, which is sixty loot above the water, getting drenched. ’I he Dauntless shook that much that most of the crockery was broken. When volunteers were called for to man the boats, should they he wanted, to aid the Honolulu .Marti, every available man stepped out;.
