FOOTBALL.
KIAVI FOOTBALL CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above Club took place at Mclntosh’s Club Rooms last evening. There was a very large attendance of members present and the meeting was very enthusiastic throughout. Air Alclntosh (President) was voted to the Chair. The Secretary read i the balance sheet which was considerered satisfactory and was adopted. The election of officers then took place and resulted as follows :

Halliday, Mills, Blanchard, Head, Berwick, Clark, Hagar, Afort'is, Telfer, Gifford, Coghlan. Henderson, Keyes, and AfeDonakl. Caretaker : —-D. McLeod. After a discussion on various matters the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the Chair. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. After the annual meeting of the Kiwi Football Club bad concluded, a little social function took jjlace for tbe presentation of trophies won by the Juniors lor the previous season. Air .McGregor (Chairman) and several members oi the Union were invited along to present these trophies. Air Alclntosh on behalf of the Club J welcomed Hie members of the Union, u lio briefly responded. Air AlcGregor thanked the Club for the invitation to attend that evening, for the purpose of performing a very pleasant duty, that of presenting the trophies won by the Kiwi Junior team on the field last season. After apologising for not having done so before, be eulogised Hie team’s work on the football field, and stated the success attained was well deserved, lie then asked the Captain (Alt S. Breeze) to come forward and accept the Banner on behalf of bis team.
Air AliTntosh replied on behalf of tbe Captain, and stated they were very glad to have tbe banner for the season and hoped it would not be the last time they would have the pleasure of being presented with it. He then asked the Captain’s acceptance of a medal, which lie (Air Aic.lntosh) had thought- fit to present to him for the way in which n handled tbe team, and liis own consistent play during the year. Be hoped to see him at the helm again this season and wished him every success in bis endeavour to obtain the coveted Junior honours for bis Club.
Air S. Breeze, amidst applause, thanked Air Alclntosh for what he bail said ami also for tbe trophy which he had received. Air AlcGregor then asked Air Afclntosli, on behalf of the Junior team to accept the Alamll Cup to bold for Hie season, and stated that this is a cup which goes with the banner. Air Alclntosh responded, and stated lie luitl another little presentation to make, and that was from the members of the Club to their Secretary oi a little token, in appreciation of the work done hv him during the year, and hoped that during the coming year he would continue to carry on. He then called for cheers which were hearfily given. All, AValker responded and thanked M,- Mclntosh for what lie had said, ami thanked the members for their present. After the toasts of the President of the Sub-Union, and the President of the Kiwi Football Club bad been honoured. the function closed with tlio singing of Auld Bang Syne, and tbe National Anthem.
