The press within the Empire is taking a very intimate interest in the Prince of Wales and naturally so. His Highness is venturesome whore sport is concerned and is at home when hunting or steeplechasing, lie has had lus share of accidents and the latest episode was a very close call, l'rince Edwaru has proved worthy ol the great position lie occupies and the greater position he is destined to fill, lie has given great promise and has endeared himself to the nation at large. He lias been an Empire Ambassador within and without Imperial limits, and no royal prince due to take the great position which will be his ultimately has stood in higher esteem or been more widely loved by his people. Indeed with ail with whom lie comes in contact ho exercises a charm which gives him pride of place, and the Prince of Wales is beloved on all sides. His goings and comings arc watched closely naturally. At Home where ho is so much a favourite any untoward event affecting him is naturally greatly canvassed. His riding experiences have brought him many a mishap, and the concern now expressed can be well understood. That ho should relinquish the jiursuit of pleasure where so much danger is found gives really without saying. He should not be courting disaster. The country not only loves him, Imt wants him for the higher destiny he is to fulfill in the British constitution. The chorus of desire manifested all round the Empire must make an appeal to His Highness, and if on top, the Prince of Wales would finally settle down to the domestic life he should in any cape lead j that action more than anything else would give the people unalloyed pleasure.
