A girl, Hilda Jones, aged IG, was shot dead yesterday afternoon in a city office where she was employed and a youth, Herbert Neill, aged nineteen, with whom Miss Jones had been keeping company was found in a fainting condition with a rifle alongside, containing four live and one discharged cartridge. ADELAIDE, Alareli 18 Neal, not Neill, was charged with the murder of Jones. The police allege he made a statement that he was infatuated with Jones and became madly jealous and afraid that someone else would gel her, and brought a rille to work that morning to do the shooting. A clerk who worked with Jones, said during tlu: luncheon hour lie heard a report and fall and saw Jones lying on the floor and Neal holding a smoking rifle.
