There was a large attendance and everything passed off without a hitch. The finishes in all events were exciting, especially in the Sheffield Handicap, 'inches separating the placed men. A. feature of the meeting was the excellent music supplied between tli events by_tho Queen Alexandra’s Own Regimental Band (Wanganui). The results are : 75 yards Handicap.—l. E. At the second day of the St. Patrick’s Sports the Two Mile New Zealand Cycling Championship resulted:—l*. O'Shea (Christchurch) 1. H. CL Watson ©(Marshland) 2. A. CL Turtill (Greymouth) 3. Won by ten yards. Time 2.9. A Bonis von the Two Mile mid One Mile Cycle Handicaps. Great interest was taken in the meeting of the representative relay teams from Canterbury and the West Coast. Despite a splendid sprint by J. H. Faiker, the Canterbury runner, bis team lost. Tlie Coast team won the race bv inches.
