SUBSTANTIAL BRICES OBTAINED. Returns received this morning from the- recent Christchurch wool sales record a substantial increase in prices for West Coast wools. The AVutaron settlers in particular shared in the rise, .Messrs Al. Purcell ami Henry M gharry making up to 2!’,d lb for their fleece three-quailer bred and 2hi per lh for fine cross bred. Several growers made from 1 O’tl per lh to 22d per lb for Crossbred and Romney dips. The above wools were reclassed and sold through the agency ot Mosssrs W. Jelfries and Co. in conjunction with .Messrs Alnlson and Co. of Christchurch.
