It is estimated that the damage to Government buildings and churches from the earthquake, which was in progress for two days, amounts to fifteen million dollars. Private losses are heavy, but are not estimated. ■lll shocks occurred in twelve liours. Earth tremors continue, hut; are milder. There are lew casualties as the first shock gave time for the people to reach safety.
