NEW YORK, Feb. 23 Another Democratic aspirant’s chances of gaining Presidential Nomination were definitely prejudiced when the Senate Oil Committee published another telegram revealing that ex-Attorney General Palmer (as cabled yesterday) bad approached Scnatoi Underwood and asked him to persuade Senator Walsh to call a halt in connection with the investigation in order to save an influential publisher from the embarrassment of explaining a mysterious hundred thousand dollar loan to Mr Fall. This revelation coincides with Senator Walsh’s recollection of a telephone conversation to this effect with Senator Underwood. The latter’s colleagues genuinely regret Senator Underwood's implication in the scandal. SALE OF STUBS. WASHINGTON, Fob. 23. The TVS. Access to all hairdressers’ shops and the right to ink- their turn with men are demanded hv the business women of New Orleans in a memorandum addressed to the local association of commerce. The women declare that they are tired of paying inordinate prices for tiairdressvig services at so-called beauty parlours. They want snappy (Angliee. quick) service and ordinary hairdressers’ prices. The association has referred the demand of the women for decision to the barbers’ union, whose president declares: “If we admit them to our shops, the last stronghold of man will disappear.”
