Her veil <>i silk net, which fell ill graceful folds was held u, j,! with a Russian coronet trimmed with peari and orange blos.-om, ami a shower boiiquri oi roses and sweet- peas tied with satin streamers completed a most becoming toilette. The 111 idc.-maid, .Miss Phyllis Coombs of ("hris.U-liurch, wore a dainty frock ~f ji-qi (;11 crepe de chono trimmed with
geo'.-gel I e ill the same shade, black picture hat and carried a shower bouquet
of sweet- peas and maiden hair fern. Little Jove,- Eraser of Hokitika, at-tc-nded as flower girl and wore a pretty frock -of pale blue satin trimmed with tiny pink rose buds. The bridegroom was attended by bis brother, M.r Arthur C. l.aing of Dunedin, ns bestman. As the happy couple left the crowded church the wedding march war- played hy Yliss M. Davies.
.viler the ceremony about Git guests adjourned to Pre-ton s Tea Rooms, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken 01. Mr, E. R. Lewi-- received her guests wearing a handsome frock of cherry coloured crepe de elieno. beautifully i rimmed with leel heads and wore a hat of navy geogette trimmed with
cherry ospreys. Usual toasts were drunk with musical honours, Miss Vera Lmg presiding at the piano. Among those present were:—Airs C. King, smart nigger brown triecotine costume with hat to match; Mrs luting mother of the bridegroom) brov'ii tailored costume ; Miss A. l.aing, fawn imst-ume with bat to match : .Miss V. King, pale pink brocaded crepe do ehetie and Mae!; panne velvet hat trimmed with black ospreys : the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr ami Airs Ferry), Airs W. Carver. Air and Airs S. W. Ford, Air and Airs J. N. Robinson, Air and Alls T. Stuart, Mr am! Mrs A. Park-hill. Air and Airs R. Appleton, Aliss Ai. Davies. Rev A. C. Purclins. Aliss .1, Ross, Air and All? D. Eraser. Air .Maxwell (Christchurch). In the evening about 80 young friends of the bride and bridegroom were entertained at the residence of Air and Airs C. .J. King, where a very enjoyable evening was spent in games and dancing on the spacious lawn until the early hours of the morning. The bride and bridegroom wore the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents, including many cheque®.
When Air and ATrs Laing left by car for Christchurch on route for Hamilton where they intend making their home, the bride wore a becoming nigger frown morocaine coat frock beautifullv braided, with an Egyptian toque to match and also wore a brown Fox fur.
