There was again a good attendance at the Swimming Baths last night, and the sport: was good throughout and interest in the various events was well sustained. The Town Band will bo present' to-night and play a musical programme. llie Carnival commences at. 7.30 and continues till 9.30. Trophies have been donated by Mrs Cowic, 1 .Messrs J. Bain, R. Whiley, R. 'Lynn, and A. YY. Yarrall. Included in the programme is 75yds and 100yds handicap (men); 25vds breast stroke for girls under 15 years of age, and the final for the school bovs' championship. SYDNEY. February 20. Tim Swimming Union Conference decided to abolish the present system of taking records, and that a list of Australian records established under international conditions be compiled together with a list of Australian records established by Australian born swimmers. MELBOURNE. Feb. 21. The hundred yards free, style championship ol Australia resulted: Boig I. Henry 2, Coppieson 3. Time 57scc. As Borg was ineligible for Australian honours, the race was awarded to Henry, with Coppleston and Christie filling tlie places. Hundred yards’ breast-stroke championship of Victoria resulted:—Urne I, Duly 2, Crouch 3. Time Ell 3-5. Brisbane ladies' hundred yards’ championship of Australia resulted.— Dorothy Thompson (Queensland) 1Jean White (Victoria) 2, Helen Collins (Queensland) -3. Won by six yards.
