News was received this morning »i the death of Airs Annie McLean, wife of Mi William McLean, at their residence. MvanV Road, Christ ehnr'h. Airs .McLean, whose ago was about hi years, lias had n long and painful illness. from which tor some time thoie was m> hope for recovery. Airs Mel.eun was well-known on the Const, being a daughter of the late G. J. Afe|ntosh of South Spit. She had a family of three children, who with her husband survive her. Her relatives in this district are Mrs 1 opa- (ArnhiirtO. Mrs Kelly (South Spit), and Mrs Henderson i Hokitika ). sist-rs of deceased 'and Air Geo. Alelnto-.1, fßnntnpuK and Air J. J. Mclntosh of the Red Lion Hotel (Hokitika), brothers. Air and Mrs McLean resided for some time at Kumara Junction, and alterwards at Cohdeu.
