Interest in projected super-power development m the north-eastern States i.l America with high tension electric transmission lines:, running limn immense power plants at the coal mines to tlie great industrial centres, has overshadowed the real progress toward super-power development, which has beer made in other parts of the country . There are now only lour gaps with a total extent of 2-7> miles in a continuous electric power .system along the I’acilie coast from British Columbia to Mexico, a distance of 1-100 miles. Five of the south-eastern Stales are included in another super-power development , which furnishes hundreds of thousands . o( horse-power and extensions are projected into neighbouring States.
