Hi MacDonald, in an interview in the press, claimed the present was not a- business man’s, but certainly was a business Government. He declared the recognition of Russia would be absolute. He objected to language not understandable by the man in the street like fie jure recognition, hut as the Soviets attach importance to the phrase, he would he willing to subscribe thereto. He said Russia’s entry into the league of Nation would bo attended with diffieulty, hut Germany's inclusion must he insisted upon. He was of opinion that the past Anglo-French misunderstanding was mainly due to the British Government's hesitancy, ami negative attitude. He declared all that had gone and Britain would no longer he content to sit and watch the result of the new attitude, which apparently had sticecoded beyond expectation.
