The English Rugby Union conlii'ined its action in regretting its inability to see its way to sanction or pay daily allowances, hut falling into line with the Xew Zealand Union's wishes by reducing the total number of matches to 30. and mooting tlie Dominion body's proposals regarding a week’s interval h.loro test matches, though this was diQicult owing to the trouble in iiiting in the nstta! tiiul matches he fore chousing an international side. A letter had been received from the Oiago IDighy Union suggesting that the ■ parent body further urge the English I uion to sanction the allowance of out-of-pocket expenses, and supported by the Auckland Rugby Union. The chairman. Messrs Wylie. 1 Tittle and Fletilier uere appointed to prepase a statement of negotiations eoneerning the arrangements for the tour. This statement will he sent to all unions. VISIT TO SYDNEY. ; It was resolved, further, to advi.-e the Xew South Wales Rugby Union that tlie All Black team would play in Sidney on July 12th, Ifitli. and ]9th •. next year, on its way home. This in response to an appeal by the Xew South Wales Union which considered the visit “absolute]’/ essential.”
