AUAIIURA FAT STOCK SALE. M. Houston and Co. report: At the usual fortnightly sale at- the above yards yesterday our entry consisted of 70 fat sheep and (51 head ol fat cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers, hut owing to the heavy yarding of cattle and the decline in prices at other markets, beef look a sudden drop of fully .C-f per head on the prices ruling at recent sales, ox beef ranging from 30s to 35s per hundred and boiler and tow from •2-1 s to 30s. Competition however was good at the reduced values and the full yarding was eionred. Fat sheep sold well. AA’e sold on account of T. Staines 33 shorn wethers at 375, 33 shorn ewes at 325; on account. T. Condon, 2 bullocks at CIO 7s till, 3 at .08 15s, 3 boilers at .05 12s (id: on account of Messrs O’Neil Bros, 2 bullocks at 810 12s lid, Jat CIO ss, 1 at CIJ, 3 at CM 10s, 2 at Cl2. 3 heifers at 07 10s, 2 at 07, 2 at 07 7s fid, 3 at 07 7s (3d, 3at 07 7s (id; on account of Air C. Donovan, 2 bullocks at £lO 2s (id, 2 ■it .011, 2 at £lO, 2 at 08 17s fid, 3 at 08 17s fid, 3 at .08 10s, 1 cow at, 07 2s fid, .1 at 08, 1 at 05 10s, 1 heifer at 05, 1 at 03 12s fid. I stag at £2 2s fid; on account of Airs Cummings, 2 bullocks at Oil, 2 at 09 10s, 2 at 09, 2 aged cows at 02. An entry of 71 bead of fat cattle was submilled to public competition at yesterday’s fixture at the above yards where a representative attendance of buyers whs present. While the quality of the yarding was good and consisted mostly of medium weight bullocks with a fair sprinkling of cows and heifers competition was restricted to prices in keeping with outside markets, and as a consequence beef eased from 25s to 3fis | per bead. It must, however, he admit- j ted that even with this fall cattle were j still in advance of prices this time! last year. The following prices ruled Heavy ox beef from .‘lt's if 355.
