I’Kli.Jri?Y'’ TO-NIGHT. Tlif special all ruction fur la-night is ‘■.lVrjury,'’ William Fax special pro-dhr-tion presenting William Farnum in a role which 0 said to make .supreme demands upon liis dramatic genius. Ihe story of "Perjury” requires the lamous screen star to display varying emotions of tremendous intensity. The hero, Robert .Moore, appears first as a strong and successful man of 15 years manager of a large factory and a
happy husband and father, genial and cheerful. From this he is transformed by suspicion and jealousy into a person in unceasing torment. licol rage Hares in his mind, and then comes despair, followed hv siibmissiveliex* as prison doors elose upon him for twenty years. Through the long term in prison Robert develops a kindliness and saintliness of character which endear him to the warden and guards. There is pathos in the situation, but the tragic element lias passed. The scene in which the prematurely aged convict leaves the prison, and those immediately following, are said to he the most touching portrayals ever given by William Farnum. The supports to the big picture will ha Fox News and comedy and the Orchestra will play a fine programme of music.
