AUSTRALIAN ANI) N.Z.. CARLE ASSOCIATION. ARMISTICE DAY OBSERVANCES. LONDON. Nov. 12. On the morning of Armistice Day, the King placed on the Unknown Warrior's * grave a solitary wreath of laurels, bound with Flanders’ poppies. Sir Hugh M. Trom-hard, Air Chief Marshal, placed a wreath on the Air Force Memorial on the Victoria Embankment in the presence of a great gathering. The day was observed throughout the w hole Empire. DELHI. Nov. 12. The Chief event on Armistice Day was the unveiling, by Lord Rawlinson of a bronze memorial to the Garwlnil rfiles, who performed distinguished service during the war. TOKIO. Nov. 12. Armistice Dav was celebrated by a mass meeting in MFiva Park, under the. __ auspices of the League of Nations’ Association. The Foreign Minister and diplomatic corps were present, and resolutions were adopted thanking Iriondlv Powers for their sympathy and relict given in tile recent calamity.
