WRESTLERS CHARGED. [by TELEGRAPH —FEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.j AUCKLAND, Nov. 5 Miihamed Ali Sunni, and Theodore Godding, the professional wrestlers, were charged in the Supreme C uni t to-day with conspiring to defraud .lolrn Sercombe, a City Council employee, and hi- wife, ol t.T0.5 by pretending that Godding should win it wrestling limit at Nanier last June.. In evidence, Mahomed Ali Sunni, said he had been three years in New Zealand. He had won IS out of CO matches, lie alleged that one witness had offered him CL.!I!I not to win at Dargaville. hut he refused. Sunni denied that lie had ever been at Sereumbo’s house. A letter was put in, in which Godding suggested to Sunni two contests, Godding to win the first. Sunni wining the second. The writer concluded : --"Please say nothing to among about ibis. Rurn this Utter.” Sunni’s manager replied that Sunni would not he a partner to any “slinter." Any match would have to be a ease of lei ting the best man win. Sunni said he made C 1 -50 out uf ilm match. The case was adjourned.
