SUDDEN DEATH.
GRKYAIOUTH. November 2. Failing to ] aeify his IS-month-old baby. Thomas Gibson llardio, of 17 Boundary Street, yesterday morning tried to awaken his wife, aged 29, and made the tragic discovery that she was lying dead beside him. The cause of death is believed to have been heart failure. The deceased woman, Alary Augusta, Hat-die, had retired to hod with, lier husband at 10 p.m., but had been awakened by the crying of her child. Sho brought it from the cot into bod with her and then conversed for about ten minutes with her husband. At 12.45 a.m. lfardie was awakened by the baby’s cries and tried unsuccessfully to pacify it. He then attempted to awaken his wife whom he found dead. Dr. J. Alcßreartv was called in and pronounced life extinct. As the deceased had not been attended by a doctor for a considerable time, a (lost mortem was conducted yesterday afternoon. An inquest will take place at 11. o’clock this morning, before Mr E. H. Kilgonr Acting-Coroner.
