A meeting of the Committee was hold in the AA'estland County Council Chamber on Saturday, Get. 20th, at 11 .:!i) a.in. Present—Air D. -Jol lie (in the chair), Messrs .T. Dimmiek, A. Dimmiek, AA*. I). Alackay. J. .Monk, J. Fleming, Dalgliesh, Pilkington, J. J. .Mclntosh and the Secretary. The minutes of the last meeting hold on the 6th inst, were read and continued and the outward correspondence read and approved. J X \\'.A I! D COP DESPONDENCE.
From Aulsehrook Co. offering a trophy.—Received. It was resolved that the Secretary reply acknowledging and asking that same he forwarded in order that it might he included with the display of prizes and trophies prior to the show. From Secretary Canterbury A. A P. Association, intimating that the conference uf delegates of South Island Associations had been postponed until Alarch next during the week of ihe Rain Fair. Received. From same, enclosing compliniontary 1 iek.'ts to the November show. —Re eeived. It was resolved that manufacturers and machinery merchants ho written, to soliciting a display of machinery at the show.
Air Dalglie-h. Chairman of the Exhibition A. and P. Committee, reported what was being done with regard to a AYVst Coast Agricultural and Pastoral section at the forthcoming Exhibition, and it was resolved to assist with same in every wav possible. The proposal to make same a combined display for the whole Coast was approved. The draft schedule for the show, as submitted by the Programme Committee, was then gone through in detail, and approved with a few minor alterations. The same was directed to be printed for distribution, a proof to be ready for the next meeting.
Xo reply having yet been received from the Secretary Canterbury Kennel Club relative to special dog show that portion of the schedule had to be held ever for the present. Admission charges to the show for each day were fixed: Gentlemen 2s, ladies Is, children Od, being the same as last year. It was decided that exhibitors of stock be admitted free. ' The Committee resolved to meet fortnightly on Saturdays at 11 a.m.
